so everyone knows that the mac app store doesnt register that you own iwork 09 if its installed via the old disk copy. i called apple about this and questioned them how i was supposed to get iwork onto my new bto retina mbp. after some discussion and phone transfers apple cs offered me a free optical drive to go along with my purchase! very pleased and wanted to share the experience!
