I need to recover some deleted files from a hard drive camera. I have tried some free applications, but before I can recover a file, I have to register it. Please help!!!

Well, if I absolutely have to, I guess I could get paid software, but I just wanted to see what free stuff is out there.
Depending on the situation, PhotoRec might be of use. It is very good at what it does, but for a simple deleted file that is identified by the other software you've tested, it would probably be more convenient to just pay up...
