So I dropped my iPad:mad:! I have Apple Care, is there any chance Apple will replace it for free?

Then you have the original AppleCare. Free replacement is doubtful since it covers device defects only, but it could depend on how long ago since purchase. Best to take it in and ask them.

Whatever you wind up doing for replacement, I'd suggest getting a heavy duty case for the future. I know some people don't think cases are as "sexy" as the formfactor of the iPad, but I'd rather have a slightly less sexy case than a nonworking-yet-sleek iPad corpse.

I hope things work out as well as possible for you.

Aside: I'm really kind of surprised by the rude turn this forum as a whole has taken. I've been a member for a long time but dropped off the radar for a bit. I came back to find a lot of people taking cheap shots instead of offering anything useful to the discussion. Can't say I'm likely to stick around. This used to be a really nice, helpful place. Disappointing.
