The US Apple site is offering a free ipod with every macbook. Can I get this offer in the UK? It seems a bit unfair if I have to pay more for my macbook and don't even get the freebie. Will they be offering this deal in the UK in the near future? If so I'll wait and buy my macbook when the free ipod is available.

They will offer something. It's a matter of when they do it. They ran the offer last year but was around July / Aug / Sept time as this is when the UK have summer holidays at school. The US normally break up far earlier and go back to school sooner than the Brits.

Last year's offer was getting a certain amount off the price of an iPod when purchasing hardware.

Hope that helps!

Remember the US have to pay a state tax on their advertised price whilst the UK has it included.
