Free Movie to iPhone 4 converter?

Looking for the best free movie(AVI.) to iPhone 4 converter.

I would like to take full advantage of the screen on the 4 so I need one with the option to pick iPhone 4 or put in the resolution. Don't really understand the other stuff though so hopefully a basic easy to use one.

Simply drag your file in and process to optimise for iPhone and turn up the quality to best.

I've used Handbreak for years to make clips for teaching. Just started using it for my iPhone and it works like a champ -- either straight from DVD or from an already existent AVI. It handles other formats, too.

One thing to keep in mind, though, for ripping stuff from DVD. You need one of the following combos:

1. Handbreak 32bit + VLC Player

or

2. Handbreak 64bit + Fairmount

Another vote for Handbrake. I converted my entire DVD collection with it and everything looks perfect in fact stunning on my IP4.
