Free MP4 Convertor

Since iTunes won't take AVI file (I just realized this) I was wondering if there was a program that would convert AVI's to MPEG-4 files.

I've got tons of movies in AVI's from Handbrake that I thought would work with iTunes, but apparently not.

Thoughts?

will need to use advance tab though to get right height and width

VLC using the Transcoder

Handbrake (but exporting as mpeg instead of avi)
