I have been wanting to play some Texas Hold'm in some of these free online sites like pokerstars.net, but their clients don't support Macs. Does anyone know a good free site to play for fake money like pokerstars. I'm itching for some Hold'm.

i didn't have a problem playing yahoo poker online in safari..

Well yeah, except for the fact that yahoo holdem ABSOLUTELY BLOWS.
There are a few sites which have online java applet clients that work on macs, the biggest one being pokerroom.com And some of the other sites are just different skins of the same pokerroom client, like hollywoodpoker.com for one.

pokerroom.com has free tables, as well as pay tables.

However, very few people play the the free tables right, all they do is click "bet/raise" all day, it's like playing slots. I prefer to play low stakes or head down to the casino to play.

What about online casinos that you can download and play for free (or for cash as an option)? Seems like most of them are not compatible with my Mac...not really into poker but would love to play some blackjack and craps. :D

Live3DPoker is the ONLY poker site on the net to offer both a Mac OSX download and a Windows download of its TRUE 3D online poker software. Come download the Public Beta, we can use all the comments and thoughts from the Mac community that we can get. PC users are welcome as well but we want to make sure the Mac version just rocks.

PS: as far as casino games go... we're working on it. :D

i haven't been able to find a good one I can use on my Mac too. I've been playing at Party poker on VPC but i only want to use VPC when i absolutely have to.

On another note, let's get a Macrumors poker game going. I've been practicing my Texas Hold'em. :D

I've been playing at hollywoodpoker.com

It doesn't have a Mac program version that you can download, but it has a Java client which is usable and loads in a snap. This is the best site that I have tried so far in my opinion. Can play with real money or play money its up to you.

Texas Hold-em

I enjoy playing Hold-em and I have a copy of iPoker 3 which is an excellent Mac poker game. While you do not play against "real" people, it is an excellent simulation. It also includes many other poker games should you want a little more variety. The graphics are also great.
