free Password Manage app

does anyone have a recommendation for a free password manager app?
I am looking for one that can backup to my desktop.

There isn't a good one that I know of and I have looked. SplashID is popular but not free, and I don't use it (or anything else in the category).

Don't waste your time with free ones. 1Password is my pick.

A little cheesy but it may do the job. I wish there was a good KeePass port.
