Is there any application that can make fancy, and stylish presentations that can be run on Microsoft PowerPoint. I'm making too much boring PowerPoint and I need to spice things up. (I love Jobs Keynote in San Fran at Macworld)

Thanks

im excited for the aqua port of open office by sun i believe. hmm ms office 08 or the new aqua open office is now the question lol

Yeah...its going to be tough...no more Rosetta, or Java-ish apps :) My mac is feeling speedier even with the thought :)

Give them a try after all they are free. It is to subjective to give a definitive answer of which is better.

Along that same train of thought, I wonder how well the OpenOffice transitions transfer to PowerPoint.

Personally, I find most transitions and visual effects to be cheesy and off-putting. I only use them if I need to go through a bullet list step-by-step. It's the skill of the speaker, and not the flashiness of the powerpoint, that matters in the end. :)

If the OP is looking for a simple presentation format and is not averse to messing around with some html/css, give S5 a look.... might be more trouble that it's worth though if one is just looking for WYSIWYG presentation-making.

NeoOffice is better on a mac, as it doesn't require the horrible X11 :)

Ditto.

Isn't that essentially what NeoOffice is?

are you saying that those free programs are better than Microsoft's PowerPoint?????

No, but Keynote sure as hell is. Like, exponentially better.

not free and the cool transitions don't work in PP.

Well, thats because PowerPoint sucks.
