I got a email today starting may 1st Mail2web will no longer be offering free push active sync email :( and i was wondering are there any other free alternatives besides mail2web i refuse to spend $99 on mobile me's verry shady service.

Yahoo is the only other free push option and it isn't very reliable.

Its been working like a charm for me.. I just got a Ymail account and all of my email has been "pushed" to my iPhone usually 60 seconds later or less.. I have no complaints as of yet with Yahoo mail.

Anybody know if big ISPs offer push? I can't find anything about it on AT&T's Web site. You figure if freebies can do it that someone you give $43/month can do it.

I have a mobile me and its really not shading at all. I recommended it over most other services. I assume gmail will eventually offer PUSH gmail, so I'd wait till WWDC to see. I could see them rolling it out there along with the new software and iPhone.

+1 for Mobile Me. Just picked up a family pack off ebay for $60.00. Got tired of the inconsistencies with ymail and gmail.

So you are looking for free? Um, I'd rather pay for a more reliable service than a free one. . . Not unless they are really good. Which I don't see good in free most of the time.

i had mail2live since 2.0 came out and no problems with it what so ever.

Agreed. MMe makes the most sense if your a Mac user. If you are, it's a no-brainer!

I know the guys over at nuevasync.com are getting prepared to start testing push email. I don't know when they will have this up and running, but I'm willing to hold out.

Nuevasync has be an outstanding service, and I'll recommend them to anyone!

Everyone who has the 3.0 beta reported they have push Gmail, which I have been waiting moths for. I have Google Sync to push my calendars and contacts so e-mail would be great.
