I downloaded about a dozen RSS readers last night, but I couldn't find any that would update the feeds at 1 minute intervals (some would update "live" but after an hour of testing them, I found their update abilities to be far from "live").

I need that will make a noise when it gets updated... seems like some RSS software doesn't have this option either.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't get the urgency. Why do you need to check feeds every minute? Is your pregnant wife going to tell you she's in labor via RSS?

Vienna will do this, it's a hidden preference.

With Vienna not running:

Code:
defaults write uk.co.opencommunity.vienna2 CheckFrequencyInSeconds 60

If you then peek in the Vienna preferences, you'll see that the option for update frequency is blanked out because it's not a standard value. If you open the activity window, you can verify that it's updating.

If you use Growl, you can get audible notifications.
