Does anyone know of a good (free) program on a Mac to recover lost pics off an SD card?

Thanks, Allison

Wow, you guys are a little rough, will watch my adjectives in the future ;)

Ended up getting them back with a different program I found. Thanks, Allison

PhotoRec. worked

@itickings-- thanks! the only others I had found so far were not free-- this worked for me. I had 76 photos that I was importing into iPhoto when it crashed (right after I said it was OK to delete the originals)-- PhotoRec restored 71 of them-- but it ALSO restored THUMBNAILS of all 76 of them. I was able to compare a list of the large files with a list of the small ones to find which full size images were missing-- so I could see exactly what I didn't have. Thanks so much! :)

Thanks! PhotoRec did the trick for me, once I got through the interface, retrieving the pictures off an SD card that most recovery apps were unable to find anything.

Hi allison, i was wondering if you could share the program you used to recover your files? just got back from holiday and lost all my videos... did you have to pay for it?

I paid for stella photo recovery.

I once recovered almost 1.5GB from a 512MB card.

OK most was garbage but was well worth it.
Used it a few times at work.

I used a free one on windows (sorry name escapes me at min) was almost as good.

We use photorec at work on a linux machine for recovery.
