I'm looking for a simple free/shareware photo manipulation program. Something that can cut and paste bits from one photo onto another. (Nothing too fancy; I'm just trying to see what various accessories would look like on my scooter.) Thanks!

What do you need that iPhoto cannot do? If you need more functions than this, then Lemkesoft's GraphicConverter should do everything that you need. It has a UB version. It even accepts Photoshop plug-ins. Many new Macs ship with GraphicConverter preinstalled.

Seashore is free and open source.

If you do this type of thing regularly, consider buying Photoshop Elements. It's a great package and has a great price to boot.

No copy and paste (or selection tools at all) as of yet. One day it'll have them...
