free software [for 3D rendering?]

I want to try and do some illustration work I haven't done it before but I have been told I would need 3D rendering. I have designed a baby textile product and I want to create separate pieces but I am not sure what software to use and would appreciate some help please!

Blender
and
Autodesk Inventor Fusion
