Hey-

I heard that Finalcut offered a free (one week) trial period, is this true? I can't find this offer on the internet, but it's possible I am using the wrong keywords, or something.

Thank you

you could probably get away with going to an apple store and playing with it on one of the computers. If not, you might want to to toy with Final Cut Express ($200), or cheaper on amazon. As far as deals on Final Cut Pro, I recently bought a i7 iMac for editing, and we found Final Cut Studio 3 on amazon for $800(normally $1000). Actually, I should be installing it today, lol.

mac mall has its for $850. You could try and find an older version on ebay to get a feel for it

I just saw FC Studio 3 - the Academic version - for $500 on Amazon. If you don't know the academic version means you can't upgrade. But either way the whole editing suite for 500 bucks aint bad
