Update: An ad-supported free version is now available!

Forum Reader converts your favorite web forums into an iOS native table format for your easy navigation. You will never have to zoom in to see tiny fonts or hunt for those elusive page links again!

There are a couple of multi-forum reader apps out there, but most of them requires installation of a script on the forum site. If the site admin is unwilling to install the script out of performance or security concerns, you're out of luck... but we are here for you!!

We are dedicated to customer satisfaction - if any of your favorite forums is not yet supported:
★ Simply send us an in-app request and we promise to add it in the next update!
★ No forum software restriction - be it vBulletin, phpBB, or any other platform, any web-based forum can be added!
★ No plugin installation required on the forum site - that means you can get the forum support YOU need without having to lobby the site admins!

Check out the complete list of supported forums here.

Watch the demo video here.

* Currently supports 400+ most popular forums. Support for extra forums are being added actively and on customer demand!
* Greatly speeds up most forums by stripping unnecessary images, ads and scripts.
* Organize your forums, boards, and topics using favorites and bookmarks to keep them at your fingertips.
* Set up automatic forum user logins, or browse as a guest.
* Compose and reply right from the app.

Good suggestion! We can certainly add that feature to a future release. Currently it's very easy to jump to any page in a thread, though - just click on the page number at the bottom, a slider will come out and let you quickly go to any page.

Thanks.

Does it work with most phpBB forums? The one I want isn't on your supported list. :(

That's what makes this app unique - we add forum support on customer's (or prospecting customer's) request, and any forum can be added. Simply send an email to milkcowblues.studio@gmail.com with the names and URLs of the forums you want, and we will add them in the next update.

Am I correct in thinking its not a backend server update here - you need to issue a new version of the app on the appstore for any new forums you add? Thanks

That's correct. If we get to the point where new requests are too many to be distributed by new app versions, we can consider adding a on-line update function so that users can download updated meta data from our server and self upgrade via a click of a button. For now, Apple has been pretty good at maintaining their review cycle at about one week, so the customer wait time (from when they submit a request to actually getting the update) can be controlled to be under two weeks.

Thanks for the insightful questions :)

Forum Reader V1.0.2 is out! What's new:

Better support for nested subforums.
On customer request, added 9 new forums and updated 2 supported forums.

Check our supported forum list for details.

Pretty new to the forum world, but are you going to make a iPad version of this? Or a combined iPhone/iPad version? Also, I'm confused on the updates from the above comments. Do you have to purchase the APP each time you make these updates?

Sorry, no plan for iPad yet. Most people think Safari works fine on an iPad, and I tend to agree.
Of course you don't have to repurchase the app each time :) you just update it via the App Store.

Forum Reader V1.0.6 is out! What's new:

- Added 33 forums requested by customers
- Updated 1 forum

Check our forum list for details.

Please note that the free version does not get new forum updates at this time.

- Starting Forum Reader V1.1, forum updates can now be pushed directly to the app from our server. This will greatly reduce the wait time for customers to receive the new forums they request.
- Simply go to the Settings tab to check and download forum updates.

If you ever released this as a Mac Desktop App, you could corner the market. Apart from the open source Siilihai reader (http://redd.it/x2ilr) there's nothing native to Mac that can take all the different forums a user might want to access and put them in a single Newsgroup/Usenet style Interface....

Have you considered it?
