I've had my Macbook for a week now, and I was wondering what good free applications are out there to download?

Thanks in advance:D

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/4A93 Safari/419.3)

If your just interested in browsing, head on over to Apple's downloads section, it has a wide choice of apps.

Here is a little sample of my own app collection. Most of them are free and the ones that are not, are not necessary for the average user. :)

I would definitely recommend Butler - see my sig, although it is free for about 6 months or so - until June/July. But it is a wonderful app. I will be buying it when it expires (not really freeware, I know).

VLC is essential, NeoOffice is good, and so is GimpShop, SongBird is worth keeping an eye on, YamiPod is superb for getting files to and from an iPod.

Excellent find, finalplayer - checking it out now :)
