So I bought an rMBP 2014 13" about a month and a half ago. And then I decided to check the warranty online thru the Apple logo at the upper left corner, and it shows that my warranty expires a year from now. Did I just get a month and a half worth of free warranty? Haha!

All new Macs come with a limited hardware warranty for 1 year and complimentary support for 90 days officially, but I've seen this extended. You have up to the last day of the limited warranty to get the AppleCare Protection Plan which adds 2 more years to the hardware warranty and gives you phone support during that time as well. IMO it's worth it. I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Of course this plan doesn't cover any accidents or thefts.

What I meant is I bought in in the 1st week of September, but online it shows that my warranty is until 1st week of October. So its like it just started this week.
