Has there been any free programs for Windows XP the let you put you own custom ringtones on the iPhone. I already downloaded the 3-use trial of iPhone Ringtone Maker

1. Find source material.
2. Use Audacity to crop it, edit it. Export as wave.
3. Use iTunes to convert it to .m4a.
4. Put in /var/root/Library/Ringtones on your iPhone

Actually, I was thinking about a program where I just browse for a song in Explorer, select a section of the song, click, and there it is.

Well, good luck then. It would be easier, faster and cheaper to just figure out how to do it the way I listed than to go and find some payware that *may* be able to do it for you.

And you would learn something while you do it.
