For those with a USA Movies Anywhere account, linking your Microsoft Movies account to your Movies Anywhere account will get you a free HD copy of X-Men Days of Future Past added to your Movies Anywhere library. Once it has been added, you can watch the movie on your Apple TV in HD by signing into your USA iTunes account.

I did it using a VPN and my Canadian Live.com account :)

Thanks for this information, and it is working by linking to Microsoft Movies account. ;)

Done getting the free HD copy of X-Men Days of Future Past.

Glad you got it to work :)

Too bad we weren't upgraded to the 4k version. Can't complain for the price :)
It is free and it is HD and still very watchable. As long it is not SD quality. ;)

I just check, another reason they not given 4K probably due to Playback 4K movies from Microsoft Movies required Xbox. Unless Movies Anywhere update the capability to playback 4K else all 4K title needs it own apps.

No, it is simple. It is Fox and they don't offer in 4k unless you pay for 4K.
Only iTunes will give you the free 4k upgrade.
Which is why, shock of all shocks, Fox stopped putting digital codes for iTunes in their Blu-Rays.

I'm happy they are giving us a free movie but would have liked the option to redeem it or not.
Now, if I ever want this movie in 4k, I will have to either do the "gift it to me" dance or call MA support for them to delete the movie from my locker.
If iTunes has it on sale for $4.99 they won't let me buy it.

Linking a Microsoft account isn’t required. You can link any new account (Amazon, Google, Vudu, etc.) and you will get the movie.

I'm in Canada so I could only link my Microsoft account.

Vudu is not available to Canadian IP addresses and Canadian Prime Video can't be linked with Movies Anywhere.
