Hello,

Today I tried a FreeBSD 9, Ubuntu, OS X triple boot on my MacBook ('older' white model). Unfortunately this doesn't seem to work. I've created empty space on my GUID formatted hard drive, and did then a guided FreeBSD install.

Besides that I have rEFIt. So I try to boot FreeBSD but rEFIt doesn't find my FreeBSD installation.
I've already tried to set FreeBSD partitions 'bootable' with gParted, but they don't show up.

(I've installed FreeBSD in target mode because I couldn't boot the CD on my MacBook)

Anyone who has more experience in these things?

Do you have enough RAM for a virtual machine? VirtualBox (free) will run FreeBSD and Linux just fine.

Yes, I have... I have already virtual boxes with FreeBSD and others on my Mac Pro. But I want to have a stand alone install of FreeBSD on my MacBook.

I checked that page but they talk more about drivers than about possible issues.
OS X is still working, and FreeBSD is installed, I only can't boot it...
