My iPhone storage is full and most of it is WhatsApp messages. I send a lot of videos via WhatsApp for work, and really like keeping them on WhatsApp as they are then stored where I need them when I want to refer back to with a client, sometimes several years later. It is easier to find them there than in the Photos app. I dont really understand how WhatsApp works - can I keep them in WhatsApp but delete them from Photos?
Is there any cloud storage that can store whole WhatsApp conversations, including the photos/videos?
Apologies for what are probably really dumb questions, I have full time work and then 4 kids when I get home, so no time to research! Thanks, Clare

You can choose to either have WhatsApp store any photo you receive to your Photos app, or to just keep them in WhatsApp only. I do the latter as I receive a lot of media via WhatsApp and I don’t want it clogging up my photo albums.

You can just delete them from Photos, it won’t remove them from WhatsApp.
