I have a 2.16 intel core duo macbook pro about 4 years old. While using itunes visualizer or watching a movie the screen will freeze and I will have to restart. I have no clue on how to fix. Thanks

What are the specifications of the movies, you can find out via right clicking on them in iTunes and selecting GET INFO?

Do they play in other players?

What iTunes version do you have?

iTunes 9.1. Movies have been avi format. They play fine on my other computer.

.avi is not officially supported by iTunes. Better use .mov or .mp4 files using the H264 codec.

Maybe use MRoogle to search for hundreds of threads about .avi files and iTunes. That will give you more answers than this thread.
