Hi all - I installed Sparrow Trial version on my new Macbook Pro with Lion 10.7.3 and it froze the computer giving me a blank black screen - non responsive computer so I had to hold down the Power button to reboot - my question is are there errors on the SSD now?

I am coming from a Windows device so I know those can develop hard drive errors when this happens

Am I ok or should I reformat the SSD and start over?

Thanks!

You should be fine. If you want to be sure, you can reboot into single user mode then type the command "fsck -fy" (without the quotes). This will fix any errors on the drive. Then type reboot and you are all set.

Normally doing a hard reboot like you did will not hurt anything though.
