Freeze upon "wake up"

I updated to Yosemite last night. Since then, every time my system goes to "sleep" and I touch a key to "wake it up" the screens turn on and I can see the desktop but can't do anything. I can move the pointer with the mouse but can't click on anything and keyboard shortcuts don't work. Anyone else having this issue?
