Okay, so i have a macbook pro 10.6.8 and I want to have a separate partition to run windows 7 on. However, when I tried to make the partition originally I got the error, "files can not be moved" so I looked up the solution and did the following: 1. backed up to external hard drive, erased HD, and then restored the data back.
That stopped me getting the "files can not be moved" error message, but when I started bootcamp the bar only got about 30-40% before the whole computer froze. I have tried backing up/restoring/same result three times now. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? or know of an alternative?
