Hello.
So, since i upgraded my rMBP to El Capitan, i cannot turn it off or do a restart in a conventional manner (from the apple logo drop down). When i try to, my mac freezes completely and then reboots itself (not a proper restart).
Also i quit using safari already when i was on Snow Leopard, instead i use Opera, but still, when several windows of youtube are open it can freeze unexpectedly and the only way out is holding down a power button.
I just now upgraded to El Capitan 10.11.6 which was no easy task because for some reason in App Store the "Update" buttons would not react to my clicking on them furiously.
my specs for my mac book pro 15 inch retina early 2013 are as follows:
Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro10,1
Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 2,4 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 6 MB
Memory: 8 GB
