Does anyone's Apple Watch make a high pitched noise, sometimes pulsing, when the watch face turns on? It reminds me of a time when there was a power supply issue on my Apple Display. Just curious if this is common or unique to me. I'm exchanging either way.

I have the S0 and S2. Neither make noise - high pitched or otherwise and no pulsing when the watch face turns on. Whether I am raising it or tapping the face nothing other than they light up. I do keep my watch sounds muted all the time because of what I do for work it would not be good if it started making noise. I do a lot of video shooting.

The more I listen to it....it actually sounds like coil whine. Rapidly changing pitches, can be a static noise or pulsating. Only happening when it power on. When the Watch face turns off, its dead quiet.

Mine does that when charging, but it's not the watch, it's the cheap ass charger stand I bought.

Mine has the same issue. But it has subsided with time and it's almost gone now.

Interesting. Did you notice this right from the beginning? I didn't notice it at first, and only after I charged it. That said, I only owned it for a couple days at that point, and first heard it when I had my hand on my head. The screen must have turned on.

I can't hear it unless it's very close to my ear. More concerned about it being an underlying greater issue. Also wondering if they all do it, and some can hear it, while others can't. Similar to coil whine and high frequency pitches. Some people just can't hear it.

Yes, it's only when screen is turned on and I have it close to my ear that I can hear it. I noticed it on day two I think and decided to ignore it for a week to see if it was a intermittend issue. After that I forgot about it for a while, and now it's allmost gone. It's still there but i have to sit in complete silence to be able to hear it now.
I have decided not to do anything further about it.

Mine just started doing this. I am going to try a different charger and see if it stops. I am using the factory charger. I have owned my watch since February
