I use a iMac osx 10.7.5 2 gb hd in my office. Has worked like a dream all these years. The past few months I frequently get this message:
YOU ARE NOT CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET ?
THIS PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED BECAUSE YOUR COMPUTER IS OFFLINE

My computer is not offline. Ever. I then have to wait a few minutes, re launch safari and it works for a couple of hours.

Have I and this computer come to the end of the line?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, Dopeyman, I'm sure you are right. Guess it's time for a new computer. This one won't even let me update iPhoto so that I can make books for family and friends. Thanks!
