this is the second time its paniced in the past two days, dont remember what i was doing the first time, this time i was recording in soundtrack

any help would be appriciated

It mentions WindowServer... Do you have any theme changers installed? As a generic question, what third party hardware (including RAM) do you have installed?

no theme changers, no real third part software installed at all except parallels, everything else on there is apple

third party hardware

my scorpio WD harddrive
4gb OCZ ram

and at the time of this panic i had a USB soundblaster plugged in as well

but its paniced about 4 times since installing leopard, doing various things

ill have to check when i get home to see if the other logs mention windowserver

I think it's pretty clear what the problem is. You might want to go back to the OS that wasn't crashing your system enough for you to start a thread on the subject. This presumes you're more interested in a stable OS than in a barely-past-beta OS being pushed by marketing.

But he hasn't established whether the memory upgrade to 4gigs was before he installed or Leopard or he had it installed with his old operating system.

I really don't think there's much point in performing a clean install before we are fully aware of whether it'll work. Kernel panics are more frequently associated with hardware issues rather than software conflicts.

Very true. The RAM could be the culprit. OP, was the 4gb upgrade before or after the Leopard install? And besides that, have you run a memory test in general?

yeah i talked with my freind and we found stuff that could help me out its a good read too
