Frequent system failure since Yosemite and now El Capitan

Hi, anyone has this issue in Yosemite and El Capitan? My MBP frequently crashes when I try to preview something in Finder, or when activating Mission Control. Crash reports mentioned GPU panic, this never happened before in Mavericks.
I'm using MBP 15' mid 2010, 8GB RAM, nVIDIA 330M, 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD.

Unfortunately the timing of symptoms with the 10.11 upgrade is probably coincidental. These computers are prone to GPU failure and Apple had an extended repair program for several years but it's now over.
