hi, i recently bought a MacBook Pro 2016 with Touch Bar. Since day 1 the battery life has been very disappointing. I used migration assistant to transfer my data on day 1 and some have said i shouldn't have done that (something to do with indexing) ?

Thinking about doing a fresh install of there operating system to see if that helps the battery life ? whats everyones thoughts ?

Thanks
Craig

How recently? they tend to settle down after a few days indexing etc. Also what brightness do you run at what apps are you running? It may well give you 8-10 hours web surfing and streaming in safari but 2-3 hours gaming GTA 5. Are you using chrome with a lot of plug ins on many multiple pages at once? That's a battery killer right there it is incredibly poorly optimised for macs.

Take a look at the energy section in the activity monitor it should tell you what is eating your battery life up and give you some idea of what the issue is, failing that get apple to do a battery check for you.
