Hello guys, two quick questions,

1) How can I make a clean install of OS X

2) Can I backup my apps (office, photoshop etc) by just copying them from the application folder to a USB? I'm sure this is not able in windows due to installing dlls in different folders.

I recommend a full backup of your drive, not just the .app files, using Carbon Copy Cloner. There are app-related files in various locations.
