Fresh Install - Notes not working

I did a fresh install of El Capitan and I'm copying my notes folder from a time machine back up. The files I'm copying are ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes/Data/Library/Notes/

Yosemite says "NotesV4.storedata" but El capitan says "NotesV6.storedata". Renaming them to V6 doesn't help. Has anyone had any luck copying notes from a backup to El Capitan?
