Fresh install of OS X - helP!

Hi, I know that to do a fresh install (delete hard drive, start over) you put in the cd and hold down "c". When I go to erase the hard drive, to I erase Macintosh HD or the thing above it (it says like 250 GB and thats one icon, thnen right under it , it says Macintosh HD.). Which one do I click on to erase? Thanks!

Click on the first one that lists your drive's capacity. Click on erase options and then check the box that says write zeros to disk. That'll give you a good erase. It takes about an hour.

or you can just Disk Utility >Erase>Reformat ( overwrites the Sector Map ), instantly
