Hi,

It has been a long time since I have had to do a fresh install but I think that is my only alternative at this point. I do not need to install onto a RAID volume but there are RAID volumes in the system for data storage. My question I guess comes down to "Where is the SW RAID configuration information stored?" Is it stored on the disk volumes themselves? If I do a fresh install on my Mac SSD (internal) will the RAID volumes still be accessible with no extra effort? Of course I would disconnect them before the install to be safe.

It is on the volume.

I have done fresh installs on my MP with SW RAID0 drives in the bays.

While I do not think it is possible to do a fresh install directly to a SW RAID drive, I have cloned a fresh install from a single drive onto RAID0 drives.

Actually, my current set up on my MP 1,1 is bay 1 and 2 containing two 256GB SSDs in them in a SW RAID0 as the boot drive and bay 3 and 4 containing two 3TB HDDs in a RAID0.

Thanks, I did the complete install but there are other infuriating issues now. I am getting very tired of Apple these days. Anyway I cannot log into the App Store to download my previous purchases. I have searched and apparently this is a longstanding issue with Mojave and there still is no fix from Apple. I have tried multiple suggested solutions but nothing is working for me. I am almost ready to ditch this Mac and go back to Windows!
