I have a question for some of you more seasoned vets out there..I recently just updated my macbook pro 15 in. 2012 with a 256 samsung 840pro,16 gb ram, old hard drive into the optical bay blah blah, anyway my question is i did a fresh install of mountain lion (twice actually,) i formatted and partitioned the ssd before reinstalling the osx, and i just noticed that my old bookmarks are still intact? How the ****? lol. Am i missing something? Did i do something wrong? or is this just some sort of back up feature

nope no migration assistant, but yes i am using i cloud.. dumb question i guess lol..didnt think of that. I take it thats why and that my drive was formatted correctly after all?

Sounds like it... as soon as you turn on iCloud on a new install it will pull in your iCloud bookmarks.
