Fresh Install??

Hey guys! Just got a Macbook from a friend of mine and I wanted to reinstall OSX and delete everything else on the hard drive at the same time. How can i do that? Thanks!

put in your osx cd.

Boot the Mac with an OS disk and choose erase install.

That will wipe the drive and do a fresh install? Do I have to delete the partition or anything first?
