I have 2 Older, MacBooks that are about to get SSDs. Both of the Core 2 Duo variety 1 with 10.9 installed the other one with 10.11 currently. I wanted to do a fresh install of said operating systems but do not have the discs yet or know how to make them. I was wondering if there is a specific route so that is most recommended for installation and sources for said operating systems. Thanks in advance

If you want to install these exact systems again, then you have to download the corresponding installers from the App Store and create bootable flash drives per Apple’s instructions: https://support.apple.com/HT201372. Then you simply boot from them by pressing the option key after the tone and select the installer. After installation, you can import your data from the original drive via USB or via Time Machine if you want.
