I just got a new Quad core. Now I need to sell my old Dual 1.8 G5. I want to do a clean install of the OS. I have searched around to learn how to do it but it seems I am doing something wrong. I have the original OS disc the system came with. I thought I should start with that disc, do a clean install and then run my 10.4 updater disc.

When I put the original disc in and click "Install Mac OSX", it prompts me for my password and I enter it. It then restarts and no install options load. I am just back to a restarted Mac. No way to move forward with the install. I read somewhere to hold the "C" key when its restarting. No luck there either.

Can anyone tell m what to do? I want to sell this computer with a clean OS and none of my old stuff on it.

Many Thanks!
