fresh redsn0w break - cydia flickers and has apple loading screen then crashes

I click cydia and then this happens every time

Then it flickers really fast and eventually quits... and goes back to the homescreen

Any ideas?

Also i cant purchase apps from the app store , it says im only allowed to purchase from the UK store... maybe this is the problem? i am a UK iphone user and it seems as if the jailbreak has put on a different one? maybe when i downloaded the ISPW it was a different country?

Why did you need to download an ipsw?

- Restore the phone to 3.0 through iTunes using DFU mode (clears out any crap on the phone)
- Download and run RedSn0w 0.72, point it to the 3.0 ipsw that iTunes downloads for you
- don't select the Icy install as it conflicts with Cydia

Done!!
