Has this happened to anybody? I left my Mac Plus on overnight last week, and I wake up to a crackling noise and burnt plastic smell (yikes). It still powers on, but no beep and no screen. Anybody have any idea what may have happened/where I can get this thing fixed? Thanks!

This could be anything, but sounds like the Line OutPut Transformer (LOPT) has shorted and taken out the Horizontal Output Transistor (HOT). You can usually tell by sight as the heatsink on the HOT goes a lovely purple color. It could even be the horizontal width coil.

Not sure where you'll find a repairer and any repairs will most likely be more than the machine is worth (although if you're a serious collector this doesn't matter, I guess).

EDIT: actually, if it still powers on, it's more likely the horizontal width coil.
