My PowerBook's been behaving a bit weird the last few days - apps just crashing out randomly, or not being able to startup. So, today I had a few hours spare so I thought i'd reinstall the OS and see if it helped (I know, I know... but it helps with windows!)

So I go throught the install but half-way through it goes to a blue screen with a spinning gear-mesh and never comes back. It even happened when I tried a minimum install onto my iPod!!

So, I ran a hardware test........

***ERROR*CODE***ERROR*CODE***

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Thought I... My internal RAM is FRIED!! I guess I'm going to have to call Apple in the morning, I don't have the time now, I have to go to work - for 17:00, infact I'm gonna be running late if I don't get a move on (part-time jobs suck!)

So what caused my RAM to go belly-up? What are Apple going to do? Does anyone know of a program I can burn onto a CD-image and boot up from that will let me transfer my essential files to my iPod? Other than that I'm going to have to buy a 6-6pin firewire and boot in target mode... Guh...
