If my friend already bought the $20 update, can you get them free like you could on the older 5G iPods by doing something like 'transfer purchases'? On the 5G, I could get the games my friend already bought for free.

Im pretty sure that the games allows for a limited number of iPods, Im not sure about the apps.

No I did not, but I am curious because there were some people asking if they had multiple iPod touches, if they could do this or not, so I thought, couldn't I just take this from a friend?
Doesn't work that way. iTunes checks your account info. Once the package script is downloaded to your computer from YOUR account, you can sync YOUR iPod touch only.
