Obvious question is can it be tracked any other way? If not, other than eBay where is best place to find new iPhone 4?

His/Her service provider could technically track it by IMEI/ESN number as it pings the tower it connects to, but they are probably not allowed to divulge that information to consumers.

In other words, probably not.

In addition to eBay, craigslist would be a good place to look if you were to want to search for a replacement.

Not sure what provider you are using, but with AT&T you can turn on family map to get the approximate location. I believe Verizon may have a similar service.

Just shows how important it is to have that app

you may think you will never lose your phone but you never know. always best to have it.

I only recently got it...as i was worried about having location services on.
