Friend of mines phone got wet and no longer works.

Can he take it to apple and have it repaired, or does he flat out have no luck and have to buy a new one?

Basically his infant got ahold of his phone and used it as a chew toy, and all the babies saliva got inside the bottom of the phone where the cord attatches to. Apparently it was enough to knock it out of whack.

he/she can try to take it to teh apple store but if it was water damage(fluid) they will probably be able to tell and that's not covered by the warranty as far as i know
