so my friend wants me to jailbreak and unlock his 3g so he can use it on t-mobile, he's on 3.1.3 but i dont know what baseband it's on, i would assume the latest.

i've jailbroken (but never unlocked) my 3gs umpteen times but now i just leave it on 3.1.2 and ignore any software updates, so i haven't been keeping up with the jailbreak software very much.

i know i can use spirit to jailbreak it, seems laughably easy, but is it unlockable at that stage (3.1.3 and latest baseband)?

thanks for the help

as an aside, when the new iphone comes out i'm going to want to sell my 3gs unlocked to pay for the new one, so can i just use blackra1n (or is it blacksn0w?) to unlock it with no mess?

Unfortunately if it's the latest baseband you cannot unlock.
