Friendly Battery Health reminder

Just in case you're not a battery nut, i decided to post a reminder.
Those who received their iPhone 4's on the 23rd Should do a battery cycle on their iPhone 4's to maintain good battery health.

From apple website:
"Use iPhone Regularly For proper maintenance of a lithium-based battery, it’s important to keep the electrons in it moving occasionally. Be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).

Why is it important to run the battery down? Does it mean that I have to use the phone till it just shuts down on me?

Not a stupid question. Yes, use it till is shutsdown, or at least as far down as you can. Then shut it down and recharge overnight. Best to do this once every month or two.
It keeps the electrons moving as mentioned. Now Li batteries don't have the memory effect like Ni-Cd batteries did but you still need to "keep the solution mixed". This also helps the battery level meter stay calibrated.
