iPod touch frings not working with update 2.2

as the title said any one else experiencing the same issues went to the fring forum and there are post over there too. Fring is only not working with firmware 2.2 but still works with 2.1. :mad:
 
I'm experiencing this too.
And I use Fring all the time.
Maybe if we delete it and then install it again.
 
Did you do an update on or load fring after you installed 2.2 to get it working? Any thoughts as to why fring is not working for us.
 
Just to clarify- fring works, but it isn't connecting to VoIP servers (or whatever). It opens and everything works fine except it seems to not be able to connect to the internet for some reason.

So is this issue related only to iPod touch users? It seems to work on my iPhone w/ firmware 2.2 fine -- I had the last update issued (before 2.2 came out).(EDIT: I don't use Fring much, but the fring test call at least is able to access their VOIP servers....)

For iPod touch users, are users experiencing lack of function on both first and second gen iPods on 2.2?

I guess at this point, providing info to the fring team is the best thing you can do, particularly if you don't fit the pattern (e.g. if yours works).
 
Mine is 2nd generation iPod touch with 2.2 update. Fring would place a test call (as well as others) before update and now doesn't. What do the rest of those with problems have for specs and function.
 
same issue

since i installed 2.2. fring does not seem to be able any longer to connect to the VoIP server. It tries until "connection timed out. i use 2g touch 32 gb.
any ideas anyone?
 
So, so far, we seem to have...

- iPhone EDGE -- all reports so far say it works
- iPhone 3G -- all reports so far say it works
- iPod touch -- no reports
- iPod touch 2nd gen -- all reports say it does not work

Correct?

Anyone in here have a 1st gen iPod touch?

Cool down :) I've been exchanging messages with the developers from Fring and the problem was already detected and solved internally. Expect an update to Fring in App store in the next few days.

What does "cool down" mean? A problem was discovered, defined, and apparently will be corrected, all because it was posted. Seems very logical to me.
 
I'm on a 2G iPod touch running 2.2.
As I stated earlier, it will open but won't login/connect.
I don't use any voip services.
I do use MSN and AIM.

I have already reintalled it, that didn't help.
 
Good news everybody

Fring is now working again for the ipod touch 2g people just tried it and it is like how is was before fantastic.
 
Looks like I'm a bit late... but I deleted from my iPT and then reinstalled using iTunes and restarted iPT and it worked. You can try that while waiting for an update or such.

It mean's chill, like sit back and wait - it's solving itself...

I have not had any problems myself with the 2.2 and fring. I'm not sure why everyone else is having problems. In fact - i have not had any problems with 2.2 whatsoever; referring to all the other threads which have been started.
