Maybe someone can clarify for me, since I'm not sure of this procedure.

Originally I had preordered my phone (6, 64gb, SG) through AT&T. Oops, something crappy happened and I was bumped to a shipping date of 10/15-11/04 with a rep saying the phone probably wouldn't ship until the latter half of October.

No thanks.

So, I cancelled my order and reordered through Apple (today) with a much much more reasonable shipping date of Oct 8th.

However, I'm an impatient kid.
Assuming that I can stop by an Apple Store, and assuming that they have the iPhone 6 I'd like in stock, is it possible to change my order from an online order to an in-store pickup, either scheduled or purchased out of the blue? Has anyone done this?

I assume that there probably wouldn't be problems since I can still easily cancel my order via the online Apple Store, but, it's always nice to get others experiences in the matter. Thanks folks!
